AyurSetu

Rooted in Charaka · Sushruta · Vagbhata

Tell us what you're feeling. Ayurveda has been listening for 2,000 years.

A step-by-step consultation that asks what an Ayurvedic physician would ask — your symptoms, digestion, sleep and routine — then guides you to remedies, diet and lifestyle drawn from the classical texts.

Questions people ask us

What is a dosha, in simple terms?

Doshas are the three functional energies Ayurveda uses to describe the body: Vata (movement — nerves, circulation, elimination), Pitta (transformation — digestion, metabolism, heat) and Kapha (structure — strength, immunity, lubrication). Health is your personal balance of the three; symptoms show which one has strayed.

Is this consultation a medical diagnosis?

No. The guided check-in maps your symptoms to classical Ayurvedic patterns and offers educational remedies, diet and lifestyle guidance. It is not a diagnosis and never replaces a qualified doctor — every result includes clear red-flag guidance on when to seek medical care.

Are Ayurvedic remedies safe to take with my regular medicines?

Many food-grade remedies (like triphala, ginger or turmeric in cooking amounts) are widely used, but herb–drug interactions are real. Always tell your physician what you take, never stop prescribed medication, and use classical medicines under a registered Ayurvedic practitioner.

Which texts is this website based on?

Our content is written from the primary classical sources: Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Vagbhata's Ashtanga Hridaya, Madhava Nidana, Sharangadhara Samhita and the Bhavaprakasha Nighantu. Each remedy page cites its classical reference.
